Read on to see how God has changed my life ...

The Younger Years

My story is similar to a lot of people. I grew up in a church, in a Christian home, and in a Christian school. I came to know Christ as my personal savior at a young age. Realizing my need of Christ, I called and He saved (Romans 10:13). I was your typical pastors kid: Never in big trouble but never really seeking to gain Christ. Graduation came and went, first year of college came and went and I was the same spiritually dead Christian. In my second year of college God really took out His "Spiritual baseball bat" and knocked some sense into my life.

A Changed Life

Through a series of events, I opened my eyes and realized how important Christ was to me. It changed my life. I was reading God's Word, praying, submitting, and God was working on me. I felt, maybe, God is leading into full-time Christian service, specifically the preaching of God's truth. During that summer while working as an intern with the youth group at Open Door, I decided to switch colleges and surrender to God's will for my life. I attended Clearwater Christian College with a major in Bible with a Church Ministries track (Still not sure what that means). God blessed with many opportunities to serve him. Devotional leader, working with local church's youth groups, Chaplin of my Greek, president of a Greek (Go Wolfpack) and many other areas of service.

Life just gets better

During all this change in my life, one thing stayed the same, my love for my wonderful, beautiful girlfriend, now my precious wife, Cathi. Even through spending 2 1/2 - 3 years apart our relationship grew. Our relationship grew so much by getting to know each other by email and the greatest invention of all the cell phone. With all of the thousands of minutes I used on my "celly", by age 40 I should have cancer in my brain. We got engaged on February 9, 2002. Then we got married August 17, 2002. I am a truly blessed man to marry such a sweet, wonderful, and beautiful person.

So that's my story and regardless what anybody else says: That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!
