What are you known for?

Satan has two things he is trying to accomplish:
- prevent people from getting saved
- keep you from serving the Lord with you life (after you get saved)
In Paul's letter to the church of Ephesus he instructed them to put on the whole armor of God to fend off the fiery dart (wiles) of the Devil. Interesting enough, Paul also instructed the church at Colossae to put care on their testimony for Christ. Satan knows that he can make you useless for Christ if he can only ruin your testimony.
In Colossians 3:10-13 we see 6 areas in which we should be careful with our testimony.
- Mercy - Someone will do you wrong at some point in your life. Will you show mercy and forgive or hold a grudge?
- Kindness - Our society often replaces kindness with hatefulness. Dr. David Gibbs has talked about CMD's (Critical Moments of Decision). Will you show kindness or hatefulness. Remember once you do the damage it is done.
- Humbleness - Lowering yourself, not being proud
- Meekness - Realizing there is only 1 God and you are not that god.
- Long-suffering - Patience with others
- Forgiving - Forgive others as Christ has forgiven you.
